Doing good - creating profit for purpose
Creating Opportunity for Young People
Through oxfordworkplace, we are using facilities management as a platform to support young people across Oxfordshire.
This includes:
Creating apprenticeship pathways
Providing access to work experience and mentoring
Supporting skills development in technical and operational roles
Working with partners to support young people facing barriers to employment
Our ambition is simple: to ensure that the way we manage estates today helps build the workforce of tomorrow.
Sustainability: The State of Play
Sustainability has moved from a “nice to have” to a non-negotiable. Across Oxfordshire and the UK, public and private sector clients now expect suppliers to deliver measurable progress on carbon, social value, and ESG performance - not just pledges.
Global standards are converging. The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) has launched new rules (IFRS S1 & S2) that set the global baseline for sustainability and climate reporting. The EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the UK’s Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) are also raising expectations for transparent, credible Net Zero transition plans.
Procurement is following suit. UK public sector contracts over £5 million must include a Carbon Reduction Plan (PPN 06/21), while the latest Social Value Model (PPN 002 – 2025) scores up to 10% of tenders on community outcomes such as apprenticeships, SME spend, and local wellbeing.
At oxfordworkplace, sustainability and social value are built into everything we do — not bolted on. Our integrated FM and infrastructure model turns ESG requirements into practical action: lowering emissions, creating local jobs, and delivering verified value for the people and places we serve.
